PMI Announces 2008 President And New Board Members

Rolling Meadows, IL – Members of the Plumbing Manufacturers Institute (PMI) elected Rod Ward as president for the year 2008. Mr. Ward, President of Speakman Company, Wilmington, DE was elected at the 2007 Fall Meeting in Washington, DC held October 7-10, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. President Ward succeeds 2007 PMI President, Ken Martin, Director, Commercial of Delta Faucet Company, who will continue to serve as PMI Immediate Past President.

The 2008 PMI Board of Directors will include Mr. Ward as President; Walt Strader, Vice President, Engineering/Research and Development of Price Pfister, as First Vice President; Lee Mercer, Director, Product Compliance of Moen, Inc., as Second Vice President and William Ball, Vice President of WCM Industries, Inc., as Treasurer. New Directors at Large include Jeff Baldwin, Engineering Manager of T & S Brass and Bronze Works, Inc.; Fred Fraisse, Vice President, Sales of NEOPERL, Inc.; Tim Kilbane, National Sales Manager of Symmons Industries, Inc. and Stewart Yang, Vice President, Engineering-Global Faucets of Kohler Company.

Returning Directors at Large include Jack Krecek, Vice President, Marketing of Elkay Manufacturing Company and Stephanie Leonardos, President and CEO of Amerikam, Inc.

Representing manufacturers across the plumbing industry, the Board steers the activities of the Institute. Board members must be actively employed by a PMI member company. The Board is elected by the membership at the Fall PMI Meeting for the coming year, with three year terms beginning in January.

PMI will hold its 2008 Spring Meeting March 30- April 2 at the Balboa Bay Club and Resort, Newport Beach, CA.
